APPRAISALS
You finally found the ring of your dreams or maybe you received an heirloom bracelet from your Great Grandmother. But don’t go celebrating just yet. The next thing you need to do is get an appraisal and insurance. Generally, most insurance companies need a special rider for jewelry over a certain value, $2,500.00.

Not sure of the value of your jewelry? Bring it to Werkheiser. We can tell you what the value is of your prized possession. This way you can make the decision to appraise or not to appraise.

A jewelry appraisal is used for two purposes. The first is a detailed description of the gemstones and the precious metals in which they are set. The second is an estimated replacement value for insurance purposes.

Our thorough reports contain the following information:
-
Detailed description of the jewelry
-
Photographs of each piece of jewelry
-
Description of metal types and weights
-
Stone types, weights and dimensions
-
Identification mapping of diamond characteristics for all stones over .50 carats if requested
-
Karat stampings, trademarks, copyrights, hallmarks, serial numbers, etc. to show authenticity
-
Copy of laboratory reports or certificates
-
Declared value
